Ingredients

  • 2 cup leftover Rice
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Besan
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped Onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped Spring onion
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Green chili-Garlic paste (7~8 Garlic cloves & 2~3 Green chillies)
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Carom seeds / Ajwain
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds

Instructions

  • Mash the rice really good.
  • Add onion, spring onion, rice flour, besan, red chili powder, green chili-garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin seeds, ajwain, coriander leaves, turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  • Mix everything well together to make dough.
  • You can add a little water for binding if you want. Knead the dough well.
  • Take small portion of dough and make ball of it.
  • You can add a little water if the dough is dry and make ball.
  • Take a skillet and spread oil on it.
  • When skillet is greased well with oil, put the dough ball on it.
  • Spread a little water on your palm and roll it into paratha pressing with your fingers.
  • Spread some more water if required. It should be a little thick and not thin one.
  • Turn on the gas on medium heat.
  • Cover and cook the paratha for about 2 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until it turns nice and crispy from lower side.
  • Flip over and cook from other side for about 3-4 minutes.
  • You can add a little oil from sides if you want.
  • Take the paratha off into a dish. Rice paratha is already.
  • You can serve this paratha with dahi or pickle or any chutney.
  • You can have this paratha as it is.

Notes

  • You also can use wheat flour or jawar flour instead of rice flour.
