Cheesy Chili Garlic Paratha

Chili garlic paratha is a healthy and testy recipe. Paratha is a very popular north Indian recipe. Today we are making chili garlic paratha using whole wheat flour. It turns out nice and yummy. We are following a little different method for stuffing cheese so that it spreads well all over the paratha and doesn’t turn put messy. The paratha turns out nice, crispy and crunchy. Kids are going to love it. You can try this recipe at home.

This paratha is a nice variation to your regular paratha. Kids love cheese so we are adding that too. Generally if if you use cheese in stuffing then either it doesn’t spread all over or it turns messy to eat or handle. If you follow this methos the both of your above problems will be solved and paratha will be just fantastic.

Ingredients

For Cover

  • 2 cups whole Wheat flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Mixed herbs / Pizza seasoning
  • Chili flakes
  • Shredded Garlic
  • Water
  • Oil

For Stuffing

  • 1/2 cup Cheese
  • Mixed herbs
  • Chili flakes
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper powder
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Instructions

For Cover

Step 1: Take wheat flour, salt, mixed herbs, chili flakes, garlic in a bowl and mix everything well together.

Step 2: Add a little water at a time and knead dough.

Step 3: Spread a little oil on the dough and knead it for about a minute.

Step 4: Cover and rest the dough for about 15-20 minutes.

For Stuffing

Step 5: Take cheese, mixed herbs, chili flakes, garlic powder, black pepper powder, coriander leaves in a bowl and mix everything well together.

For Paratha

Step 6: Take the dough, add a little oil and knead it once more to make smooth and even.

Step 7: Take a small portion from the dough and make it smooth and even.

Step 8: Dip the dough ball in dry flour and roll it into a disc.

Step 9: Brush oil on it and fold into half. 

Step 10: Again brush oil and fold it into quarter.

Step 11: Sprinkle some dry flour and roll it into triangular paratha.

Step 12: Heat up a skillet on medium heat and transfer the paratha on hot skillet.

Step 13: When bubbles begin to appear on upper side of the paratha, flip it over and roast it well from other side.

Step 14: Brush a little oil on the upper side and flip paratha over.

Step 15: When paratha is almost roasted well from all sides, turn the gas on very low heat and open up a layer of the paratha.

Step 16: Spread cheese stuffing on the paratha and close it.

Step 17: Roast the paratha well on low heat.

Step 18: When cheese begins to melt, flip the paratha over and roast well from other side.

Step 19: Take the paratha off into a dish and cheese garlic paratha is all ready.

Notes

  • You can use maida in place of wheat flour and garlic powder in place if shredded garlic if you want while kneading dough.
  • You can use fresh shredded garlic in place of garlic powder and different veggies if you want in the stuffing.
