Chum-Chum is very popular oval shaped Bengali sweet. Dipped in a sweet syrup, Chumchum has a moist spongy exterior and and cotton soft texture. It just melts in mouth!

Ingredients

  • Paneer 1/2 kg
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Water 3 cups
  • Rose Essence 2 drops
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Powered sugar 2 tsp

Instructions

  • First blend paneer in a blender until it becomes soft. Now in a paneer a foo color an mix well. Then make small oval shaped balls.
  • Mix sugar, water, rose essence in a pan and boil for 10 mts. After 10 mts add dumplings, cover and cook for 10 mts.
  • After 10 mts turn the dumplings, cover and cook for another 10 mts.
  • Now let dumplings rest in syrup for 10 mts.
  • Take out the dumplings from syrup and garnish them as you like.
