Ingredients

  • 1/2 liter full cream / full fat Milk
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Corn flour
  • 2~3 tsp Water
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 tsp Tea powder
  • 1/4~1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

Creamy basundi chai

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up milk on medium heat and bring it to boil.

Step 2: Continue boiling milk on medium heat for at least another 10 minutes.

Step 3: Add sugar and mix well.

Step 4: Take corn flour in a bowl and add water.

Step 5: Mix well to make slurry and add it to the milk to give thickness.

Step 6: Mix well and boil the milk for another 3-4 minutes.

Step 7: Lower the heat the low setting and continue boiling the milk.

Step 8: In a sauce pan take water and tea powder, cardamom powder.

Step 9: Boil the tea mixture really good.

Step 10: Strain the tea mixture into the boiling milk and mix well.

Step 11: Boil tea really good for another 3-4 minutes.

Step 12: Basundi chaha is all ready.

Step 13: While serving, garnish with the malai on the tea.

  • You can decide the quantity of sugar according to your taste.
