Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Moong dal1/4 cup Rice
  • 1 Green chili
  • Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Take moong dal and rice in a bowl and wash it really good with water 2-3 times.
  • Soak the dal and rice in enough water for about 3 hours.
  • Transfer the dal and rice into a blender jar.
  • Add green chili, ginger, turmeric powder, salt and blend it well.
  • Add a little water and blend again. The batter should not be too thin.
  • Heat up pan on medium heat.
  • Grease a little oil on the pan.
  • Add batter on the pan and spread it well.
  • Roast until it gets nice golden brown color.
  • Add a little oil on the chilla.
  • When chilla begins to turn brown from underneath flip it over and roast from other side as well.
  • Take the chilla off the pan and serve.
  • You can add veggies of your choice while grinding moong dal to make it healthier.
