Ingredients

  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 cup Sabudana flour
  • Salt to taste

Quick sabudana kurdai

Instructions

Step 1: Take water in a pan and add sabudana flour, salt.

Step 2: Mix well. No lumps of sabudana should be formed.

Step 3: Cook the mixture on medium heat until sabudana turns translucent and mixture thickens up well.

Step 4: It takes around 8-10 minutes on medium heat to cook sabudana well.

Step 5: When the mixture turns translucent and it gets glaze turn off the gas and let it cool down for about an hour.

Step 6: Fit medium size shev mold in chakli making machine.

Step 7: Fill the kurdai dough into the chakali mold and tap it a little.

Step 8: Roll out kurdai from the chakli mold. 

Step 9: Dry kurdai under hot sun until one side is dried well.

Step 10: When edges begin to leave the plastic sheet flip the kurdai over and dry well from other side too.

Easy sabudana kurdai

Step 11: When kurdai is dried well from both sides, store them in an airtight container. Kurdai is all ready.

 

Notes

  • You can either use store bought sabudana flour or blend sabudana into powder in mixer. Sieve the flour through rava sieve.
  • You can use plastic sheet or wooden board rolling kurdai in place of plastic sheet
