Ingredients

  • 1 big Size Potato
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Degi / Kashmiri Chilli powder
  • 1/8 tsp Hing
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds

Instructions

  • Peel the potato and cut that in to 2 to 3 cm thin slices.
  • Heat up oil, add mustard seeds and let them dance around.
  • Then add cumin seeds, let the cumin seeds sizzle up.
  • Add hing and mix well.
  • Add finely chopped onion and saute until onion turns translucent.
  • Add finely chopped garlic, mix and cook for about a minute.
  • Then add red chilli powder, mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add potato slices, mix well, add salt.
  • Mix well. Add few splashes of water and mix well.
  • Cover and cook for 10 to 15 mts.
  • Be sure to give it a mix in between.
  • Serve hot with chapati!
