Batata Song – Marathi Recipe

Instructions

• Heat up a pan on medium heat and add coriander seeds, dry red chilies.
• Try to use begadi mirachi so that it will give nice color to sabzi.
• Roast both together until aroma is released.
• Turn off the gas and let it cool down.
• Take coconut and roasted masala, tamarind in a blender jar and blend it dry first.
• You also can use tamarind pulp in place of tamarind. Then you don’t need to blend it.
• Add water and blend it into smooth paste. Masala is all ready.
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• Add onion and fry until it turns nice golden.
• Chop potato into pieces and add.
• Add the blended masala and mix well.
• Add salt and mix well.
• You can add a little water if you want.
• Cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
• Open the lid and mix well once.
• Batata song is all ready.
• You can have it with dalitoy and rice.
• You can serve this as side dish too.
