Rice Flour vada

Whenever we want to make vade you can’t make when you want to. For that you need to soak the dal, grind it, beat it. There are so many things to be done for that. But today we are going to make instant vade. These vade turn out nice crispy our side and soft, light inside. It is a very easy and simple recipe. These vade taste just awesome and look fantastic.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Water
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped Green chilies (Optional)
  • 1 tsp grated Ginger
  • 1 cup fine Rava
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up water in a pan and bring it to boil.

Step 2: When water begins to boil add salt, green chilies, ginger, rava and mix well.

Step 3: Add rice flour and mix well.

Step 4:  Turn the gas on low and cook the mixture covered for about 5 minutes.

Step 5:  Turn off the gas and rest the mixture for 10 minutes.

Step 6: Add coriander leaves and knead the dough really good.

Step 7: Wet your hand with water and take small portion from the dough.

Step 8: Roll it into smooth ball and again dip your finger in water.

Step 9: Make a hole at the center of the ball.

Step 10: Spread a little water at along the end and seal it well and vada is ready to fry.

Step 11: Heat up oil on medium to high heat in a pan.

Step 12:Drop vade in hot oil and fry well on medium to low heat from both sides.

Step 13: After frying for about 3-4 minutes from one side, flip vade over and fry from other side too.  

Step 14: When vade are fried well from both sides take them out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish.  

Step 15: Instant vada is all ready.    

Step 16: You can have the vada as it is or can serve with sambar, chutney. 

Notes

  • Adding green chilies is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
  • You can use fine suji in place of rice flour.503

Rice flour vade can be served with chutney, sambar or as it is too. These look nice just like medu vada and taste just awesome. This is a real quick, easy and simple recipe.
