Pav bhaji is a popular street food. Today we are making it on a tawa. Ussually when we eat pav bhaji on a street side joint, it is usually made on tawa i.e. skillet. You also can make this pav bhaji in kadhhai. Let’s try this yummy, delicious and all time favourite dish – pav bhaji.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup Green peas
  • 1 medium size Potato
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Finely chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Finely chopped Capsicum
  • 1 cup Finely chopped Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pav bhaji pav

Instructions

  • Take wash and cut cauliflower in a pot. Add green peas.
  • Take potato and peel it. Cut it into small pieces and add.
  • Add water enough to cover the veggies.
  • Put the pot in pressure cooker and close the lid.
  • Cook on medium to high heat for 3-4 whistles.
  • Heat up a pan. Add butter and let it melt. Don’t let the butter turn brown.
  • Add onion and mix well.
  • Cook on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes until onion gets light golden colour.
  • Add capsicum and mix well. Cook for 3-4 more minutes.
  • If veggies dry up, add 1 tbsp water at a time. This will help the veggies will cook easily.
  • Add tomato and mix well. Cook until tomatoes are completely cooked and get mashed with onion.
  • After cooking tomatoes for about 2-3 minutes, mash these veggies with masher.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, pav bhaji masala and kashmiri red chili powder.
  • Mix well and cook for 2 minutes more.
  • Add some water. Mix well again.
  • Move the masala aside and add boiled veggies on the pan.
  • Mash the veggies really good.
  • Mix masla and mashed veggies really good.
  • Add water and mix well.
  • Add butter and mix well.
  • When everything is mixed well, add salt to taste.
  • Mash the veggies again with masher.
  • Mix well and bhaji is already. Move the bhaji aside.
  • Take pav and slit them open.
  • Butter them from both the sides and place them on the same pan.
  • Just warm up the bread from both sides in the same pan so that all the flavours are soaked well in the bread.
  • Do not make the breads brown.
  • Pav bhaji is already to serve with pav or bread.
