Ingredients

  • 3 bread slices
  • 2 tbsp Rava
  • 2 tbsp Rice flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 1 cup Water
  • Oil
  • Finely chopped Onion
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Finely chopped Green chillies

Notes

  • Take bread slices and break them roughly.
  • You can remove the edges if you want. You can use multigrain or whole wheat bread too.
  • Transfer the bread into a blender pot. Add rava, rice flour, and salt.
  • Grind without adding any water first.
  • Add yogurt and 1/2 cup water. Blend the mixture again.
  • Add 1/2 cup water and blend again.
  • The consistency of the batter should not be too thick or too thin.
  • Pour out the mixture into a bowl.
  • Heat up a pan on medium-high heat.
  • Add a few drops of oil and spread it.
  • Mix the batter well and pour out a ladleful of the mixture at the center of the pan and spread it.
  • Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  • When bubbles start to appear after 2-3 minutes, spread some onion, coriander, and green chillies and press it down with a spatula.
  • Add some oil around the uttapam.
  • After about 3-4 minutes, flip the uttapam over and let it cook from another side too.
  • Flip over again and bread uttapam is already.
  • Take it out into a dish.
  • You can have bread uttapam as it is.
  • You can serve it with some coconut chutney or sambar.
