Ingredients

  • 1 Cucumber
  • 2 tsp Roasted peanut powder
  • 2 tsp Shredded fresh coconut
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 finely chopped Green chili
  • Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Ghee

Instructions

  • Peel the cucumber and cut off its both ends.
  • Take “vili” and cut the cucumber vertically from all sides.
  • Once done cut the cucumber horizontally.
  • Repeat the process. This is known as “kakdi chochavane” in Marathi.
  • If you don’t want to use vili then you can use knife.
  • Take the cucumber into a bowl.
  • Add coconut, roasted peanut powder, coriander leaves, salt, sugar and lemon juice.
  • Mix everything well together.
  • Heat up ghee in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Add green chili and add the tadka into cucumber mixture.
  • Khamang kakdi is already.
  • You can have this khamang kakdi as salad.
  • You can serve this as a side dish too.

Notes

  • If you add green chili in tadka then it gets cooked a little and becomes lighter on stomach.
