Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Pohe / Flattened rice
  • 2 tsp Rice
  • 2 boiled Potatoes
  • Red chili powder
  • Finely chopped Green chili
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • Garlic paste (4~5 shredded Garlic cloves)
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  • Take pohe into a blender jar and add rice.
  • Blend both into a little coarse powder.
  • You can use washed and dried rice of you want.
  • Peel and mash the boiled potatoes.
  • Add red chili powder, green chili, coriander powder, garam masala, garlic paste, salt, coriander leaves, lemon juice and mix everything well together.
  • Add blended pohe and rice powder and mix well.
  • Roll the batter into tikki.
  • Heat up oil in a pan.
  • Drop tikki in hot oil and shallow fry well from both sides.
  • When lower side gets nice gets nice golden color, flip the tikki over and fry from other side too.
  • When tikki is shallow fried well from both sides take it out into a dish.
  • Aloo tikki is all ready.
