Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • Garlic cloves
  • Slit Green chili
  • Olya turiche dane
  • Grated dry Coconut
  • Coriander leaves
  • Water
  • Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • A pinch of Hing
  • Garlic cloves
  • Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Kala masala
  • Water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat up oil in a pan.
  • Add garlic cloves, green chilies and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add turiche dane and fry for about 5-6 minutes.
  • Move the fried turiche dane aside and add dry crated coconut and fry until it gets nice color.
  • Mix everything well together and transfer it into a blender jar.
  • Add coriander leaves and blend into coarse paste.
  •  Add water and blend just once.
  • Heat up oil in a pan.
  • Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
  • Add cumin seeds, hing, garlic cloves, curry leaves and fry for about a minute.
  • You can skip the tadka if you don’t want.
  • Add turmeric powder, kala masala and mix well.
  • Add the blended mixture, water to adjust the consistency, salt and mix well.
  • Simmer on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.
  • Turichya danyanchi amti is all ready.
  • It goes well with rice, kalanyachi bhakari or as it is as soup.
