Shimla mirchi masala is a very easy and simple recipe. This is a good variation to our regular shimla mirchi sabzi as we are adding Maggie masala-e-magic to enhance its taste. Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Big, finely chopped Onion
  • A pinch of Hing / Asafetida
  • 7-8 Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Goda masala
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Red chili powder
  • 2 finely chopped Capsicum
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tsp Roasted peanut powder
  • 1 Sachet Maggie masala-e-magic

Instructions

  • Heat up oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
  • Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Add onion, hing and curry leaves.
  • Mix well and fry on medium heat until onion turns light golden.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, goda masala, turmeric powder and red chili powder.
  • Mix well and fry for about 2 minutes.
  • Add shimla mirchi, salt and mix well.
  • Cover and cook on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.
  • At the intervals remove the lid and mix well so that it won’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • If you feel the sabzi is too dry, then you can sprinkle water.
  • Add roasted peanut powder and mix well.
  • Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Add Maggie masala-e-magic and mix well.
  • Cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Turn off the gas. Shimla mirchi masala is already.
  • You can serve shimla mirchi masala with chapatti, fulka or bhakari.
  • It goes well with rice as side dish too.
