Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Varai / Samo Seeds
  • 1 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 Banana sliced
  • Sliced Almonds
  • 6 to 7 whole Cashew Nuts
  • pinch of Nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

Instructions

  • Melt tbsp ghee in a pan, add varai to that and dry roast till it gets light golden color.
  • Now heat tsp of ghee in a separate pan. After ghee is hot, add cashew nuts and almonds. Cook until nuts change its color.
  • Then add sliced banana in to nuts, dash of nutmeg, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Once varai is roasted to the varai add hot milk.
  • Let the milk get soaked in varai. Then cover and cook over low heat for 20 mts.
  • Then add sugar, mix, cover and cook for 10 more minutes.
  • Finally add cardamom powder, cooked banana and nuts mixture, mix well.
  • Cover and cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Serve hot!

Notes

  • Amount of milk may vary. You need to cook varai completely or until it turns out soft.
  • In place of banana, choose any fruit of your choice like pineapple.
