Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 1/4 cup Besan / Chickpea flour
  • 1 1/4 cup Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Instructions

  • In a bowl take rice flour.
  • Add besan, salt, and baking soda. Mix well.
  • Add a little water at a time and mix well to make dosa batter.
  • Make sure no lumps of flour are left.
  • The consistency of the batter should be smooth.
  • Add lemon juice and mix well.
  • Heat up a skillet on medium-high heat. The pan should be enough hot.
  • Brush a little oil on the skillet.
  • Mix the batter once and pour it on the skillet.
  • Start making dosa from the sides and end up at the center.
  • Cover and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Continue to cook until it gets nice brown color from below.
  • Cook dosa on medium to high heat.
  • After cooking for about 3-4 minutes on medium to high heat flip the dosa over and cook from another side as well.
  • After cooking for about 2 minutes from the other side flip over again and roll it.
  • Rice flour dosa is already.

Notes

  • The center of the skillet is much hot compared to sides. So it takes time for the side batter to cook. So start making dosa from the sides and end up at the center.
