This is a very easy and tasty recipe. As the name suggests, you can serve this as evening snack or at any time of the day. These toasts are crunchy outside and soft inside. Ingredients

  • 1 big Potato
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped Green pepper
  • 1 tbsp Boiled Corn
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped Tomato
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped Onion
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Red chili sauce
  • Lemon juice
  • Bread slices
  • Butter
  • Tomato ketchup (Optional)
  • Shev (Optional)

Instructions

  • Take boiled potato and peel it.
  • Mash the potato and add green pepper, boiled corn, tomato, onion and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  • Add mayonnaise, red chili sauce and lemon juice.
  • Mix well and keep it aside.
  • Take bread slices and cut them across to cut into half.
  • Again cut across to make 4 pieces of bread.
  • Make triangular pieces. You can remove the edges of the bread if you want.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on the bread and cover it with another bread slice.
  • Heat up a pan and spread butter on it.
  • Toast the bread from both sides until these turn golden.
  • After about 3-4 minutes spread butter on other side and flip over.
  • When it turns nice golden from other side too, take it off the pan into a dish.
  • Take a grilled sandwich and spread a little ketchup along its edges.
  • Dip the edges in shev.
  • This is optional. But it gives nice look and crunch to toasts.
