Generally paneer is all time favorite. We already have seen lot many paneer recipes like palak paneer, shahi paneer, kadhai paneer, matar paneer, paneer masala, paneer bhurji etc. There are starter recipes of paneer like chili paneer, paneer 65 etc. While frying paneer make sure you fry it on high heat. If you fry paneer longer then it becomes chewy. Paneer popcorn are a good option for kids evening snack too.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm Paneer
  • Black Pepper powder
  • Red chili powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Chat masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Maida
  • 1/2 cup Maida
  • 1/2 cup Corn flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil for frying

Quick Paneer popcorn

Instructions

Step 1: Cut paneer into small cubes and add black pepper powder, red chili powder, garlic powder, chat masala, salt, coriander leaves.

Step 2: Mix everything well together and add maida.

Step 3: Toss it well and rest the mixture for about 10-15 minutes to marinate.

Step 4: For making batter take maida, corn flour, salt and add a little water at a time to make a little thick batter.

Step 5: Drop the marinated paneer into the batter and coat it well.

Step 6: Coat the paneer cubes well with bread crumbs.

Step 7: Heat up oil in a pan on medium heat.

Step 8: Drop paneer cubes into hot oil and fry well on high heat.

Step 9: When paneer gets nice golden color from all sides take them out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish.

Step 10: Paneer popcorns are all ready.

Step 11: You can have these as it is or with sauce too.

Notes

  • You can use fresh minced or grated garlic in place of garlic powder.
  • Make sure you fry paneer on high heat. If you fry paneer longer it will be chewy.
