Rava coconut ladoos are generally prepared on festive occasions. These are super delicious and easy to make. Ingredients

  • Ghee
  • 1 cup Fine rava / sooji
  • 3/4 cup grated fresh Coconut
  • 3/4 cup Powdered sugar
  • Cardamom powder
  • Raisins

Instructions

  • Heat up a pan on medium high heat.
  • Add 1 tsp ghee and fine sooji / rava.
  • Dry roast the rava on medium high heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  • We want to take out the dry smell from the rava. No need to change the color of the rava.
  • After 7 minutes turn off the heat. Pour out the rava into a blender jar. Grind for just a few seconds.
  • Do not make powder of sooji.
  • Add coconut in the same pan. Do not take black shell part of coconut.
  • Dry roast the coconut for only 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  • In a bowl take rava, coconut and powdered sugar. Mix well.
  • Add cardamom powder and stir well again.
  • Cover and give it a standing time of 30 minutes.
  • Take small amount mixture at a time into a dish. Add melted ghee. Mix well.
  • Ghee gives good binding to ladoo.
  • Roll the mixture into small ladoo , garnish with raisin.
  • Make rest of coconut ladoo in same way.
  • Store the ladoos into airtight container. It has got shelf life of 2-3 days.
