Ingredients

  • Leftover Chapattis
  • 1 boiled and mashed Potato
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped Onion
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 tsp finely chopped Green chili
  • A pinch of Hing
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Chili sauce (Optional)
  • Ghee

Instructions

  • Heat up oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  • Add hing, onion and fry until onion on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes.
  • When the onion begins to turn light golden add ginger-garlic paste, green chili, turmeric powder and mix well.
  • Fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn off the gas and add mashed potato, coriander leaves, salt to taste. Mix well.
  • Stuffing for chapatti sandwich is already.
  • Heat up a pan on medium heat.
  • Spread a little ghee and put a chapatti on it.
  • Roast the chapatti until it becomes crispy from one side.
  • Take the chapatti off into a plate.
  • Take a chapatti facing crispy side upwards.
  • Spread mayonnaise on it.
  • You can use tamarind chutney, green chutney or curd instead of mayonnaise.
  • Spread a little chili sauce.
  • Chili sauce is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
  • You can use ketchup instead of chili sauce.
  • Repeat the same procedure for another chapatti too.
  • Add stuffing on the chapatti and spread it well.
  • Press the stuffing a little so that it sticks well to the chapatti.
  • Spread cheese over it.
  • You can use processed cheese or cheese slice too. You can use paneer instead of cheese.
  • Cover with another chapatti.
  • Heat up a pan on medium heat.
  • Add ghee on it. You can use butter instead of ghee.
  • Transfer the sandwich on the pan.
  • Toast the sandwich well from both sides.
  • Spread ghee on the other side and flip the sandwich over.
  • Toast it well from another side too.
  • Take the sandwich off into a dish.
  • Cut it into 4 pieces and serve.
