Pressure Cooker Cake

Instructions

• Remove the gasket (rubber ring inside the lid of cooker) and whistle of a pressure cooker / pan.
• Preheat the cooker in medium heat.
• In a mixing bowl add yogurt, sugar and oil. Mix well.
• When you don’t find any lumps of yogurt in the mixture, sieve in maida. Stir well.
• Add water. Mix well.
• Add baking soda, baking powder and vanilla essence. Mix well.
• Take baking tray. Grease it with oil and line the bottom of the pan with wax paper.
• Pour out the batter in the baking tray. Give it a gentle tap to remove air bubbles (if any).
• In the preheated cooker keep any pot and cover it with a perfectly fitting dish. Above this dish Keep the baking tray.
• Close the lid. Bake it over medium heat for about 25 – 30 minutes.
• After the cake is ready, give it a standing time of 10 minutes.
• After 10 minutes loosen the sides of the cake with a knife.
• Flip the cake over on a cooking rack.
• You can use this as a base for making any fruit cake or any pastry.
• You can have it as it is.
