Bharli Mirchi, Bharwan Mirch or Stuffed Pepper makes a perfect side dish to go along with Chapati or Bhakari. It’s got nice and spicy stuffing of roasted peanut powder, which gives it a nice and nutty flavor.

Ingredients

  • 9 Bhavnagar Chilli
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Peanut powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for Shallow Frying

Instructions

  • Wash bhavnagari chilli very well and pat dry it.
  • Now make a slit through chilli and pull it apart.
  • Keep the stem on.
  • Now takeroasted peanut powder in a bowl.
  • To that add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  • Mix that very well.
  • Now stuff peanut masala in each slit bhavnagari chilli.
  • Put leftover masala aside.
  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, line all stuffed chillies over oil on a pan.
  • Cover and allow it cook over medium heat for 5 mts.
  • After 5 mts, open the cover and turn them around.
  • Fry chillis until it gets deep golden color from all the way through.
  • Now put the leftover masala, allow it to cook for 2 more mts.
  • Stuffed Pepper is al ready to be served!
