Achari Paneer Masala is a delicious, aromatic Paneer Curry with a pickle like taste. To get its pickle like flavor and color, this recipe requires the use of spices that are generally used in making any Pickle. It has spicy and tangy taste and goes well as a main course with Naan.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Kalonji
  • 1/4 tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
  • 2 dried Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 cup Tomato Puree
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1 tsp Mango Pickle
  • 1/2 tsp Kasoori Methi
  • 250 grams Paneer

Instructions

  • Heat tbsp oil in to a pan.
  • After the oil is heated add mustard seeds and allow that to pop.Then add cumin seeds, kalonji, methi seeds and fennel seeds.
  • Let all them sizzle nicely.
  • Then add Ginger Garlic Paste and allow that to cook for about a minute.
  • Then add coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and mix well.
  • Cook all the spices for about a minute.
  • Now add Tomato Puree and mix well.
  • Allow it to cook for 4 to 5 mts.
  • Season gravy with Kasoori methi, salt and Mango Pickle
  • Mix well.
  • Add Paneer, mix well.
  • Cover and cook for 4 to 5 mts.
