This is a great quick and easy preparation and a sweet snack for all to enjoy for this coming Diwali. It is made from pure ghee and gram flour with raisins and nuts. Believe it or not, it gets ready in less than 10 minutes! You don’t have to go for endless stirring and worry about avoiding besan from sticking or burning. They taste absolutely delicious and it’s difficult to tell the difference between microwave besan laddu and those made the traditional way!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Besan / Gram Flour
  • 1 cup powdered Sugar
  • 6 tbsp or 1/4 cup Ghee
  • Assorted nuts
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 tsp Sooji

Instructions

  • Take 6 tbsp or 1 stick of butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 to 40 seconds.
  • Add besan, mix well, and microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Mix and again microwave for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
  • Add nuts and microwave for 1 minute.
  • Wait till the time it gets cool down.
  • Add sugar, cardamom powder, mix well and make small golf size ladoo.
  • Top up with some raising or almond, cashew nut!

Notes

  • If you find the mixture has dried up just add extra tbsp of ghee.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar suitable to your taste.
