Ingredients

  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 3~4 tsp powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Keshar shrikhand
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp Nut meg powder
  • 2 tsp Keshar milk (Soak 10-12 saffron strands in 2 tsp milk)

Instructions

  • In a bowl take buttermilk.
  • Add powdered sugar, keshar shrikhand and mix well.
  • You can use thick curd in place of shrikhand.
  • But then it will taste like lassi and not piyush.
  • So try to use shrikhand only.
  • Beat the mixture really good.
  • You can decide the quantity of buttermilk according to your choice.
  • Add cardamom powder, nut meg powder, keshar milk and mix well.
  • Piyush is all ready.
  • You can cool it in freeze before serving.
  • Serve chilled and garnish with sliced almonds, pistachios.
