Chai Masala

Instructions

For Chai Masala:

• Take dry ginger and pound it into small chunks with the help of pestle.
• Transfer dry ginger into blender jar and blend it into powder.
• You also can use store bought powder if you don’t want to grind dry ginger.
• Add green cardamom, cinnamon sticks. Break cinnamon sticks and add.
• Add black pepper corns, cloves.
• You can dry roast cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and black pepper corns if you want.
• Grate nutmeg into blender jar. You can add small left out pieces nutmeg too into blender jar.
• Close the lid and blend it into powder.
• Chai masala is already.
• You don’t get fine powder. It has got a little coarse texture.
• You can store chai masala in air tight container. It remains nice and fresh upto 2 months.

For Making Tea:

• Take 3/4 cups water into a pan.
• Add 3 tsp tea powder and 6 tsp sugar. Bring it to boil.
• When it begins to boil, add 1/4 tsp chai masala for 1 cup each. So in all add 3/4 tsp chai masala.
• Let the tea simmer for some more time.
• Add 3/4 cups milk. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
• Turn of the heat.
• Strain the tea into a cup.
• Masala chai is already.
