Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sooji / Semolina
  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped Capsicum
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped Tomato
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped Onion
  • 2 finely chopped Green chilies
  • Salt to taste
  • Bread slices
  • Oil

Instructions

  • Take the sooji into a bowl. No need to roast soooji.
  • Add curd and salt. You can use lemon juice instead of curd. Mix well.
  • Add a little water at a time and make thick or spreadable batter.
  • The batter should not be thin. The consistency of batter should neither be too thick nor too thin.
  • Add tomato, capsicum, onion, green chilli, coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Batter for sooji toast is already.
  • Take the bread slices and cut into small strips.
  • Spread a spoonful of batter on each bread slice.
  • Heat up pan on medium heat.
  • Do not keep the bread slices with batter longer.
  • Transfer these immediately on the pan for roasting.
  • Add a little oil on the pan and transfer the bread slices on it.
  • Place the side with batter on the pan.
  • Roast the toast in medium heat for at least 4-5 minutes from one side.
  • Flip the toast over and roast form other side for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Take the toast off the pan into a dish.
  • You can serve sooji toast as it is or with any ketchup or sauce or mayonnaise.
