This is a lighter version of easy no egg French Toast. This is filled with fresh banana and with goodness of walnuts. Its simple, quick and easy to make, Made from handy ingredients. A perfect breakfast or after school snack for kids.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  • pinch of Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 6 Bread slices
  • 2 medium-size Banana
  • 1/4 cup roasted walnuts
  • 2 tbsp Butter

Instructions

  • Take a bowl. Add cornflour, rice flour, and baking soda. Mix well.
  • Add milk slowly so that there are no lumps.
  • Add cinnamon powder, vanilla essence, and grated nutmeg (Jaifal). Stir well.
  • Keep it aside until further use.
  • Take a banana. Peel and slice it. Put all the banana slices in another bowl.
  • Add grated nutmeg to it. Toss it well.
  • Take bread slices. Line up a slice with banana. Top it up with chopped, toasted walnuts.
  • Now cover the bread with another slice.
  • Repeat the same procedure for other slices too.
  • Take the previously made flour mixture and whisk it well. Now soak these slices into the flour mixture. Soak from both sides.
  • Heat up a skillet over low to medium heat. Add butter over it.
  • Put the soaked bread over the skillet.
  • After 3 – 4 minutes, put some butter over the slice and flip it.
  • Roast until the bread gets golden color from both sides.
  • After another 3 – 4 minutes transfer the toast into a serving bowl, cut it into half and serve.
  • You can serve it with maple syrup or chocolate sauce.
