Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped Patra Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Methi Seeds
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeera
- 1 tbsp chopped Garlic / Lasun
- 2 tbsp Besan / Chickpea Flour
- 1 tbsp Peanuts
- 1 tbsp Chana Dal / split chikpeas
- 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp Tamarind Extract
- 1 tbsp Jaggery
Instructions
- Soak chana dal and peanuts in enough water for 4 hours.
- Boil a cup of water in a pan, to that add methi seeds, chopped patra leaves, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add boiled patra leaves in mixie pot and grind to make smooth puree.
- Add besan, chopped green chillies in pureed patra leaves and mix well.
- Heat up oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, chopped garlic and saute garlic for 2 minutes.
- Add prepared patra leaves puree, mix, add some water.
- Add red chilli powder, garam masala, tamarind pulp, soaked peanut and chana dal, jaggery, salt, mix well. Cover and cook for 10 mts.
- Serve hot with chapati, rice or phulka!
